Hey everyone! I recently heard that UGC offers a fellowship for single girl child doing PhD in India :woman_student:. What is the Single Girl Child Fellowship?

This is a fellowship offered by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to support single girl children who are the only child in their family (no siblings) and are enrolled in PhD programs in social sciences.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a single girl child (no brothers or sisters)
  • Must be admitted in a full-time regular PhD course in Social Sciences
  • Must be below 40 years (General) and 45 years (SC/ST/OBC/PwD)
