Namaste, my name is Satish Chandra from Ghazipur, UP. Here I’m seeking the information about the National Scholarship for Post-Graduate Studies (NSPG). Can anyone help me to fill up the NSP Scholarship and what is Amount of NSP PG Scholarship in 2025-26? Apart from that, who are eligible to apply under this scheme to get benefits? Thanks

So, I was looking into the National Scholarship for Post-Graduate Studies (NSPG) and here’s what I found- it might help you out! The scholarship gives ₹15,000 per month for 10 months a year, and it’s for two years. It’s mainly aimed at students from economically weaker backgrounds who are doing their postgrad studies.

Here’s the eligibility criteria:

  • You need to be an Indian citizen.
  • You should be enrolled in the first year of a PG program at a recognized university or college in India.
  • Your age should be below 30 as of the admission date.
  • Your family’s annual income should be less than ₹2.5 lakh (from all sources).

For the selection process , it’s based on an all-India merit list . Also, 30% of the slots are reserved for women, with priority given to single, twin, or non-identical girl twins under that category.

Now, how to apply :
You can apply through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) - it’s all online. There’s also an app called NSP OTR on the Google Play Store if you prefer using your phone. And just a side note, if you ever need to check your Aadhaar biometric lock/unlock status, you can do that via the mAadhaar app or the My Aadhaar web portal .
