It’s a Uttarakhand government scheme where new mothers of girl children receive a free kit with essentials like clothes, blankets, and hygiene items to support the baby’s health and care.
But don’t worry — if you’re from Gujarat, there are some great schemes for newborn girls and their families that you should know about:
1. Vahli Dikri Yojana (Beloved Daughter Scheme)
This is a very helpful scheme by the Gujarat government to encourage girl child education and well-being.
Benefits:
- ₹4,000 when your daughter enters Class 1
- ₹6,000 in Class 9
- ₹1,00,000 when she turns 18 (for higher studies or marriage)
Eligibility:
- Must be a resident of Gujarat
- First two daughters in the family
- Annual family income must be less than ₹2 lakh
How to apply:
Visit your nearest Anganwadi centre, Taluka office, or Women and Child Development Office. Fill out the form and submit documents like the girl’s birth certificate, income proof, and bank details.
2. Namo Lakshmi Yojana (for school-going girls)
This scheme is focused on helping girls continue education from Class 9 to 12.

- ₹10,000 per year in Class 9 and 10

How to apply:

लेकिन गुजरात सरकार की ओर से बेटियों के लिए दो शानदार योजनाएं हैं:
1. वहली बेटी योजना (Vahli Dikri Yojana)
