What is the new Motor Vehicles Act?

I am an Indian citizen and a driver by profession. I want to know about the new Motor Vehicles Act that has come into the country. So that I do not have to face any kind of problem in the future. So can someone tell me what is the new Motor Vehicles Act?

The new Motor Vehicles Act has been brought by the government to increase awareness among people and reduce road accidents. It provides information about the new increased amount of fines imposed for violating traffic rules. Traffic rules in India are according to the New Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act, 2019. Under this new Motor Vehicle Act 2024, companies manufacturing vehicles with substandard engines will be fined up to Rs 500 crore. For example, earlier a fine of Rs 100 had to be paid for breaking traffic rules under normal (Section-177) and (New Section-177), but now Rs 100 has been increased to Rs 500.

Motor Vehicles Act Fines List and Traffic Rules

Let us tell you that the Motor Vehicles Act 2019 approved by the Government of India has come into force from September 1. According to this new traffic rule, new penalty list / challan rates have been fixed in India for 2/4 wheelers.
