About Pradhan Mantri Swach Bharat Abhiyan
Pradhan Mantri Swach Bharat Abhiyan is the most popular government mission started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This is also famous with various names like Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM), Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, or Clean India Mission. This is a countrywide campaign introduced by the Government of India on 2 October 2014. Swach Bharat Abhiyan has come up to eliminate open defecation improve solid waste management and create Open Defecation Free (ODF) villages. By starting this mission, the Indian government has also aimed to make people aware of menstrual health management. Moreover, recently the Indian government has also introduced the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) 2.0 with new innovative ideas and components.
