The “Pay and Play Scheme” was launched by the Sports and Youth Affairs Department of the Government of Jharkhand. The scheme aims to provide state-level sportspersons with opportunities to train and practice at the Mega Sports Complex, Hotwar, Ranchi. The scheme covers 11 sports; athletics, badminton, lawn tennis, table tennis, shooting, gymnastics, basketball, taekwondo, volleyball, wrestling, and swimming.

The registration fee for the pay-and-play scheme at the Mega Sports Complex in Ranchi is only ₹50. This scheme allows sports enthusiasts to use the complex for daily practice.
Visit the office or website of the Jharkhand State Sports Promotion Society to register under this scheme. Apart from the registration fee, there is also an additional membership fee depending on the sport chosen. Slots are allotted on a “first come, first served” basis.
