I am planning to apply for Maha TET 2025 and would like to understand the detailed eligibility criteria and age limit for teacher jobs in Maharashtra. Could anyone clarify the following points?

  1. Educational Qualification: What are the minimum qualification requirements for Paper 1 (Primary Level - Classes 1 to 5) and Paper 2 (Upper Primary Level - Classes 6 to 8)?
  2. Minimum Marks Requirement: Is it mandatory to have at least 45% marks from a recognized institution, and does this apply to all categories?
  3. Teacher Education Degree: Which degrees are acceptable (D.El.Ed, B.Ed, or any other equivalent qualification)? Are final-year students eligible to apply?
  4. Age Limit for Teacher Jobs: Is there any minimum or maximum age limit for appearing in Maha TET or for securing government teaching jobs after clearing the exam? Are there any age relaxations for reserved categories like SC, ST, OBC, or PwD candidates?
  5. Other Eligibility Criteria: Are there any domicile requirements, work experience conditions, or additional criteria set by the Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE)?

Applicants must have passed with a grade of at least 45% from a public institution or an educational institution approved by the Teacher Education Board. In addition, the applicant must complete a two-year essential education degree.

There is no age limit for the Maha TET exam 2025. Candidates of all age groups can apply and appear for the Maharashtra TET exam if they fulfill all other eligibility criteria.
