Ravneet Singh Bittu is an Indian politician and a former member of the Indian National Congress (INC). Later, he joined the Bharatiya Janta Party on 24 March 2024. Bittu is serving as the Minister of State for Railways and as the Minister of State for Food Processing Industries in the 3rd Modi Ministry. He hails from a prominent political family in Punjab and is the grandson of former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh, who played a significant role in restoring peace in the state after years of militancy in the 1990s.
He has served as a Member of Parliament (MP) from Ludhiana, Punjab, representing the Congres party in the Lok Sabha. His political career began when he was first elected to the Lok Sabha in 2009 from the Anandpur Sahib constituency. Later, he was elected from the Ludhiana constitency in 2014 and re-elected in 2019.
